Not everyone who dreams of a new life in France buys a chateau. There are so many choices. From manoirs to longeres, I think everyone who has this dream starts with a style of property in mind.

The subjects of this week’s video are Yip and Paul. These guys bought a village. Yes you heard me right…..an entire village! As you can imagine they have a mammoth task ahead of them and they share their progress with us all on YouTube. They are also the stars of the popular Channel 4 show ‘Help! We bought a village.

So why have I picked this video? Firstly, the work these guys do is fantastic. They work so hard and have overcome so many obstacles along the way. Secondly and most importantly, these guys are just so cute! You might start watching this channel for the renovation but you definitely stay for Yip and Paul. Just watching them together warms your heart. They are so supportive of each other and work together like a dream team. I dare you not to fall in love with them.

The specific video I have chosen shows the guys bravely taking on replacing one of their cottage roofs. Now I don’t know about you but I would rather poke my own eye out than get of a roof so I take my hat off to them both and what an incredible job they’ve done too. Bravo boys! 👏👏👏
